Siegfried makes serveral journeys deep into Karenni State, home to some of the fiercest clashes between Karenni soldiers that oppose the military junta. Thousands have been forced to flee the junta\u2019s onslaught of killing civilians, burning entire towns, summary executions, rape, and mass imprisonments.<\/p>

Embedded with the Karenni Army, Siegfried trecks for days to reach the frontline fighting for Loikum the capital of Karenni State, he visits secret hospitals, rehabilitation centers, IDP camps and rebel bases deep in the jungle. A testimony to a people fighting to survive in a land where all jouranlism is banned.<\/p>
